Feel free to suggest any potential antidepressants/drugs that haven't been mentioned yet like shrooms or something for example

Fluvoxamine worked for me well a few years ago, one of the strongest SSRIs on the market. recently I was taking agomelatine but went off it coz it made me feel fucking shit

Did you have to deal with any bad sides?

If you did though do you think it helped with your depression enough to make it worth it anyway?

I only ask because of this:

best antidepressant is pussy

Not sure tbh, but I know Modafinil is technically a DRI albeit a very weak one at that, and abusing the fuck out of amphetamines can mess up your dopamine balance long term not to mention dopamine itself is neurotoxic in high doses.

Look into it more here if you want:

Yes I remember the side effects of fluvoxamine being fucking brutal, 10x more brutal than agomelatine but in the end it stopped me from roping and allowed me to get my life back together. My social anxiety started to go away, all that shit. The sides of it were mostly anxiety related - restlessness, nervousness, sweating, suicidal thoughts/idealisation, etc. With agomelatine I didn’t really have that shit but I felt like a total zombie for a month and then the withdrawals after were brutal despite jewgle saying there weren’t any. I think for certain people these drugs are the only option and they can work, but they aren’t for everyone. The idea that they’re a Jew scam is partly true but they do stop a lot of people from committing and having crippling anxiety related problems for the rest of their lives because of the mood effects. The truth is though is that most people really don’t need SSRI’s, SNRI’s, etc. but exercise, therapy, diet, shit like that. A lot of the time people get these issues because of shitty lifestyles and nutrient deficiencies (e.g. my sister), but I think for select people they are genuinely needed. Even if the chemical imbalance theory is bullshit or whatever they can still help. But it’s not good to stay on them forever, not even doctors or psychiatrists recommend that, as they are harsh mind-altering drugs. If it can get people back on track and then in a couple years they come off them I’m all for it, but what I’m not for is them being prescribed almost instantly by money hungry doctors.

Pretty well said tbh.

How did it help stop you from roping if it also caused suicidal thoughts/ideation though?

Was it a temporary feeling of heightened anxiety/worry as compared to just a general desire to kill yourself stemming from your depression?

Also, did you get any long term side effects or have they gone away?

I probably should've also mentioned in this Poll but amphetamine would also be considered a NDRA

It’s just something I had to really push through. I kept reminding myself that it would work and that these thoughts were unwanted and a result of the medication, as the thoughts/idealisations and anxiety were heightened a lot for the first month or so. I was told they would go away, and they did for the most part. But the social anxiety took way longer to go away. But when it did I started going to the gym, eating better, etc. It was really tough though the first month as it causes your mind to race like you’ve never felt before, and you legit go insane. It genuinely is one of the strongest drugs on the market. Usually doctors just prescribe Prozac, Zoloft, shit like that.

Also, no, no long term sides. I was only on them for a few years. Agomelatine isn’t supposed to be as harsh but for some reason it made my liver feel weird as fuck. It’s not approved in the US yet, only Australia and EU. It’s a newer drug

The root cause of my depression though I think was really shitty diet and video game porn addiction so after going on the meds for a while I started to realise that and because they have some anti-addictive effects I was able to realise it and do all that stuff less.

That being said, for anyone reading I wanna stress don’t take this shit unless you’ve gone through a lengthy process to see if you really need them. Don’t listen to the GP who tells you to take it straight away after one appointment.

I forgot about that tbh, but then again I still left out quite a few despite including so many

I'm also not sure there are any pharma grade cholinergics used to tread depression ngl.
