There is players who have better physical abilities or simply achieved more than him for sure but when i say best athlete im talking about how good he was individually based on how skilled he was and how he mastered the game.

The problem is that he made a lot of stuff look easy but when you really pay attention to the game and the details you realize how he was always one step ahead everyone else and way more skilled than the rest. Then you add on his knowledge of the game that is matched by no other( probably what separate him from the rest) and his mentality that was the best to play this game and to me you got the best player of all times .

There is not one thing Kobe couldn't do on a basketball court. No other players mastered the game like him cause no one simply put as much effort as he put in as doing so.

Probably not how you judge how good a player was but i respect this more than achievement tbh cause at the end its a team game and there is only so much you can do sometimes.
