Best camera for taking Tinder pics?

I have an iPhone 8 right now, should I get a tripod and use that? The DSLR cameras are all so expensive. I also have a 4k video camera. Should I use my iPhone or the video camera?

Good lighting + angle and using back camera will help, maybe get a tripod or selfie stick
