The only country that comes to mind is literally america back then they would literally buy houses for their workers and even give them wives. These businesses were mainly mining businesses

But for modern day the equivalent would be software or tech businesses

head of super market(not franschie owner or exces) in Sweden earn just as much as many other white collar middle collar management positions. Pretty fkn good given only hs diploma. Also given that you have worked more than 15 plus years and u are doing well.
