Doesn’t have to be a movie released this year

Just has to be something you watched only this year

The Gentlemen (2019)
I enjoyed it although I find Guy Ritchie over stylized storytelling style a bit gay

About Time starring Domhnall Gleeson. It was sort of a romcom with an average director but was very good.

La Grande Bellezza by Paolo Sorrentino. Very good, about being fed up with your life.

No Country For Old Men. I have watched this loads of times before and didn't really like it but on my most recent viewing I was finally immersed in the film and also finally understood its message. Great movie.

Read some books btw they're better than movies.

You should venture into Russian literature now

I want to get through some other American writers like Hemingway and Steinbeck first.

Brothers Karamazov is on my bucket list but I understand you have to read everything else first to appreciate it.

Thanks for the rec, TWBB made me realize that im a sucker for films about ambitious and obsessive people that would rather destroy themselves than give up their obsession as i also love The Prestige, Nightcrawler and Aviator

Prestige is mid af tho
Hard disagree, its in my top3 Nolan along with Memento and Oppenheimer.

Have only seen one, so the new Indiana Jones, which was pretty good.

Loved the scene where they included Indy going back to a real historical scene
