Yeah don't get on it if you are going through it. If you are balding make sure the puberty is over before starting finasteride after puberty dht is a trash hormone. I would also suggest determining if the reason really is androgenic alopecia and not stress or something else. Dont waste your money on some snake oils or horseshit like that

if the norwood reaper isn't pounding on you in all of your holes there is no reason not to start with finasteride even if your hairloss is aggressive when finasteride is effective for the majority of users and stops the hairloss mostly for ~10 years. If it stops working for you at all or the way you want, it makes sense to move on dutasteride as it is more powerful blocker

both are 5a-Reductase inhibitor blocking dht. Difference is finasteride blocks about ~70% in normal doses and dutasteride is much stronger blocking about ~90%
