androgens barely mature plates at all if youve read the aromatase deficiency studies where males have high test and still grow into their 20s-30s, growth plate closure from an androgen that binds 2-3x more to the androgen receptor (like norethandrolone) than test wouldnt close the growth plates in a few months
the kids' growth plates most likely closed due to not managing e2 not them being exposed to a strong androgen plus norethandrolone is an aromatising steroid which means even with an aromatase inhibitor the growth plates would still close due to local e2
thats why using a non aromatising steroid like tren paired with a very low dose of test (sub70mg pw) is advised for height growth since local e2 at the growth plate wont be elevated as long as systemic e2 resulting from the test dose is nuked completely
