Best razor for close shave?

Safety razor or cartridge razor? Which one is better for a close shave without irritation?

Trade off with using a safety razor is that you get a close shave but it’s so close that if you shave again the next day with minimal stubble you will get extremely irritated and it can take like a half hour to prep and shave, I shave with cartridge ones in the shower and get a close shave with a small amount of time and it’s pretty cheap because it’s Amazon blades that last 20 shaves for a dollar a head
