best rhino oat?

Doctor told me not to mess with it but i bandaged it to look and ive bandaged it back up. its still swollen cuz its one week post op but damn. i was told there were limitations to rhino and my guys not the best blah blah. ny guy never misses

i put new bandages back on.
heres that front view. bridge should get slightly narrower over the next few months

theres residue from the tape on the tip thats why it has those dark brown regions, dont confuse it for shading

Just get a canthopexy not a plasty or not even that jsut fix the loose lower lid you actually have positive canthal tilt but the loose lower lid hides it I have the same thing

You were told that for good reasons. There are/were limitations.

Your guy can't be the best rhino surgeon simply because many others specialize exclusively in this surgery and have been at it for decades. Mehmet is a jack of all trades and therefore can't have the same experience as those mono-specialists. It doesn't mean he's bad at rhino though. For example, he may have great artistry that compensates the rest.

Testimony about one of his botches (not a rhino) :

I found no other review about him in the largest FB group dedicated to rhino in Turkey (50K+ members). It didn't necessarily mean that he would be bad, just that there was no openly available and exhaustive info to base my opinion on. So I reserved my judgement accordingly and suggested that it would be safer for you to go to a specialist with a clear(er) track record.

Given your starting point, your rhino looks promising.
However, I'd advise to wait until you reach the +8/+12 month mark prior to making any definitive statement about the result. Rhinos' post-op recovery is not always a linear ride ; your breathing may be impaired at some points of the process ; bumps may appear at the surface of your skin ; swelling may persist noticeably on one side and not on the other ; etc. ; these common inconveniences usually subside after a few months ... but sometimes they don't. It can be an emotional roller-coaster for some patients.
That said, with a bit of luck, you could have a fairly close idea of the final result as soon as 2 months after surgery ; and you may experience none of the aforementioned inconveniences. I obviously wish you such a smooth recovery and fast healing !

P.-S. don't neglect the taping routine, even if you have to tediously follow it for a few months. In some cases, it can really help to maintain the right nose shape.

oh shoot that was you that had said avoid him for rhino now i get the hostility. wasnt meant to be an "i told you so" thread as i had nothing really backing my decision to go with him. definitely took a risk and got lucky.

dang i havent had any issues on my end yet besides some breathing issues from the blood and whatnot. hopefully ive dodged those but ive got a long time to see

He told me to just not take the tape off at all. and to also not get it wet. which seemed a bit ridiculous as obviously its gunna get wet at some point, especially if i cant take it off (even to shower...). so i guess i might take the splint off and retape it twice a week then. i didnt get much post operative care instruction from him at all actually. that. he really babied me after the djs, but just kinda threw me out there this time

I'm not sure I said to 100 % avoid him. I was rather questioning the reasons behind your choice because I lacked the documentation to understand it ( -> no direct patient testimonies in that FB group). I remember asking if you had seen Mehmet's portfolio of results, especially for larger noses and alar plasties. I just wanted to make sure you would not expose yourself to all sorts of trouble that could eventually lead to a revision surgery (more expensive than a primary, harder to get right, in other words : a real fucking hassle).

Too early to tell. These issues can appear during the first months. That's why I'm warning you, so you don't freak out if ever that happens to you. All you can do is wait and push through. With the exception of persistent swelling, which you can actively address with corticosteroids (if I'm not mistaken).

Based on testimonies I've read, some patients are advised to tape their nose every night for months. I guess it applies particularly to noses that have been heavily reduced (like yours) or that are recovering from structural issues (e.g. weak bridge).
They don't walk around all day with their nose taped. They only redo it at night, before going to sleep.

Good lead. I looked into it a bit now and i think im gunna keep taping mine at night for about 12 weeks total. Gunna wear my splint 3 weeks total day and night just to be sure i dont bump anything too hard. dropped my phone on my face in bed last night
