I used to play SNES games with an emulator... I got my first computer in 1998 and after a year there were already new games that couldn't run on my PC, they had too high hardware requirements. So, I looked into older games to play, I used to go to an Internet cafe that let me download stuff and transfer it on floppy disks. Most PC games however took a lot of space, but I've found online emulator communities with older ripped games from Sega, Nintendo, etc. These were great because the files were relatively small, it was pretty amazing how they managed to fit a whole game in just a few megabytes at max, and still have nice graphics, music, movies, etc.
