Before I do any hardmaxxes or get any surgeries, I was wondering if there was any sort of final softmaxxes that could be done. I'd want to get surgery at an mtn base realistically, because if I'm not mtn then I just won't bother and I'll give up on life.

ya bro honestly i have very similar hair to you and what made the crazy change was j really finding my style. figure out your skull shape and look for comps that you fw the vibe of, face h:w also can make a big difference so take that into acc, personally i would say you got the curly halo which is good and your also capable of growing long hair which def advantageous. I shampoo once a month to clean my scalp basically and besides that i just found a style of cut that complimented the way my hair sits naturally. can’t really see your hairline too well looks maybe like you have a lil bit of recession if your concerned minoxidil dermastamping all you need to start treating that, would be beneficial if your tryin to compensate lower third...

Is there any particular hairstyles you found good, or thought would work for me?

i don’t actually think your too far off from having it dialed in. i’d ask the barber for medium length on top and to soften layers, low taper around the ears and neckline, and enough length in front to let the curls fall forward or sideways. really subtle taper will clean it up a lot. kinda be like a curlier timothee chalamet look to make it look cleaner and more intentional in length and style while keeping curl patterns.
