Training in the gym will do so much for your frame than any cope sport. Lats and shoulders will gain you inches of bidelt it’s so worth it.I was lucky enough to do both swimming and basketball from ages 7 to 16. I haven’t done much since, but the frame it’s left me with, combined with my genetics is nice. Now, I’m planning to go hardcore with swimming again, adding gym/calisthenics, and possibly some injectables to the mix.
Lots of people here probably don’t even know about it tbh. Not many Australians igAgreed
Swimming is far from a cope sport. It actively promotes wide clavicles and upper body development when started pre-puberty and continued through puberty.Training in the gym will do so much for your frame than any cope sport. Lats and shoulders will gain you inches of bidelt it’s so worth it.
Genetics will by far be the biggest driver. If all you care about is wide clavicles you should mainly just try build muscle. Swimmers dont have wide clavicles because they swim. They swim because they have wide clavicles. As in it provides them that advantage. Same as basketballers being tall.Swimming is far from a cope sport.
