I watched the first season, and I thought it was very boring: we have a serial killer here, but instead of showing some serial killer type of stuff, they mostly focus on all sorts of mundane things he does, that don't interest anyone - how he works, goes out with his friends, spends time with his family, dates a girl,etc...Occasionally he kills a guy, but they show this in quickly edited scenes, like it was just an afterthought.
Same thing with Sopranos - very little actual Mafia stuff, and 90% is just boring, generic drama that could have been in any soap opera - their son has trouble at school, their teen daughter does some edgy teen things, they throw a barbecue party, they talk to their neighbors about some shit, they visit a therapist and talk even more, etc...Who wants to see this shit???
