Going to start training my masseter muscles in the jaw.

What is the best way to achieve hypertrophy in them?

People say do chewing, just chew loads of gum every day.

But you dont go to the gym and curl 1kg thousands of times? u do it with some resistance.

Would I be better off getting one of those jaw trainer things like this
1645623487460

and still do high reps but with some actual resistance?

Tbh I don't know much about the topic, but I think masseter hypertrophy might give the illusion of a higher bizygo to bigo ratio from the front (illusion of a wider jaw).

It probably wont. Yes chewing gum in moderation might help in jaw and facial development and generally hard foods are healthy for your „facial structure“ but I would never use any of these products like jaw exercisers or whatever.

I have neither.

A jawline made from gonial eversion, ramus height, and mandibular width cannot be replicated with masseter hypertrophy.

You're giving him false hope because the chances are his jaw will just look rounded and large, with no angularity.

round jaw is not bad, it looks more masculine than pretty boyish

see pitt and hexum

Did you just use....FUCKING HEXUM AS AN EXAMPLE FOR A ROUND JAW?????.

A round jaw is literally a female trait.

Pitt has large masseters NOT MASSETER HYPERTROPHY.

Two VERY different things.

Large Masseters are a genetic trait.

It adapts to your mandible etc, meaning, in wont affect the angularity of someone born with them i.e Brad Pitt.

Masseter Hypertrophy is as it sounds.

By making masseters abnormally larger than genetically intended.

You'll end up with a massive round jaw.

the reason his jaw will look rounded is because his face shape is rounded atm
but it will change as he chews more also chewing can flare out your actual gonians

Do you think oval shape face is a falio? I think it has high appeal and super angular jawlines are not as appealing as PSL might have you think

Kinda, the "Appeal" shit only applies to the extremes like Depoot lol.

Anyone looks better with a somewhat Diamond face, because it signifies high gonial & zygomatic width/prominence.

So like Gandy and Hemsworth for example you’d think they would look better with more angularity?

Gandy doesn't need it.

Hemsworth definetly does. I have no clue how he's a "PSL God" to some people lol.

I wouldn't.

Masseter hypertrophy is a looksmin for most people. It makes your face look rounder. Keep in mind you will likely get some temporalis hypertrophy as well, which make your cheekbones look weaker. I would only consider it if you are already highly angular, and just need a little more lower face width.

The people saying don't do it need to realize that masseter hypertrophy being beneficial or not is entirely dependent on the individual. I benefited from it but that's just cause my insertions happened to be placed in a way where it looked good, also either don't do open mouth chewing or be very cautious of any tmj stress that might appear as a result.
