I FINALLY am about to get my hands on some Tret (.1%)!!! On the verge of creaming everywhere with elation. (every step forward is a good step no matter how small) What is the best amount to start with/lead up to, and what duration should I space the application? Also, when should I space derma stamping with it?

I've been using Adapalene for about the past 2 months if that makes much of a difference to how I should start applying.

0.1% is too strong to start you’re barrier will get destroyed.

Dilute it with moisturizer into 1/4th of a pea.

Start Mon Wen Friday for 2-3 weeks then 1 more day each week.

Don’t fucking think about stamping till you’re thoroughly retinized.

I started 0.1% too I was peeling like a mother fucked

About 2-3 months depending on your skin and consistency. Stronger strengths retinize quicker but more aggressively. Contrary to popular belief you can start strong it’s not an issue just more aggressive

All 3 strengths reach a similar maintainince for anti-aging and wrinkles but stronger strength works better for acne.

Start with 5-6 applications per week start with a very small amount and as the previous user said dilute it.

After shower apply a moisturiser then tret then moisturiser again. I’d recommend keeping cicaplast and hydrocortisone on hand if you fuck your skin barrier pause for 2-3 days and use both to repair skin barrier and continue.

You can also apply hydrocort with tret periodically to reduce irritation but it’s not a long term solution and don’t overuse but can help with the initial rough phase.

Also any and all chemical/physical exfoliant is a no go during this phase. I used salicylic acid soothing Cerave cleanser once during this phase and it was like I slid my face on concrete.
