Best way to fix an overbite

I am 14 y o and I have a mid Over Bite. I am thinking about going to the Ortho but I dont want him to make my maxilla more recessed. Is there any other orthodentical way to make my chin come more forward and my maxilla to stay in place so I can gain more forward growth?

Depends on what orthodontis you go too most specialist try to fix the overbite by using elastics
