I went to an orthodontist and he recommended elastics.
Is it true that elastics recess maxilla?

elastics are only gonna move your teeth, not your jaw

but braces/elastics are good

thank you, I was actually unaware of this beforehand

however i've read that a recessed maxilla would be the result of subsequent orthodontic movement, not just the extraction alone

nevertheless braces and elastics still greatly assist in overbite

which type are you getting and how old are you

I'm 16 and don't know yet in a couple of days I will go again to plan things out, but I asked about damon and he told me he prefers elastics

I recommend invisalign mybe braces but i heard it can make you ressced if you’re problem is really bad then trust the orthodontist if not they will probably make it worse so you come back

My problem is not very bad I noticed from bp edits a couple of months ago and when I told my parents they said It's nothing, but by braces you mean damon?

also probably getting them, wont recess your maxila but gonna make your upper teeth flatter, worth it for the chin projection
