it's easy to cut a throat but that it isn't the best waybecause they can still scream which is obviously not what you want if you're trying to kill someone silently.

the correct way is to approach silently from behind and stab through the carotid artery (artery on both sides of neck where you take your pulse) so that the knife has punctured both arteries and then to grip the handle firmly and punch forward and down, cutting the vocal cords themselves or damaging critical vocal comments and letting out both major blood supplies (carotid arteries) to the brain simultaneously.
