in my last thread i talked about why DHT is useless after puberty
(https://looksmax.org/threads/is-dht-useless-after-puberty.2060452/)

in this thread i will be talking about the best way to treat hairloss (in puberty and out of puberty)

1. for teens experiencing hairloss (from roiding)
you shouldn't shutdown DHT because in this timeline (puberty) DHT is important for developing a normal body

symptoms of shutting down DHT during puberty in males are
- lack of facial/body hair
- incomplete genital development (resulting in a small dick and small prostate)
- feminine pubic hair (im not kidding google that shit happens in kids with 5-ARD)
- feminine/soyboy like voice ( soyboy voice )
- erectile dysfunction,ejaculation issues,breast tenderness etc

so you shouldn't shutdown systemic DHT in puberty so what should you do?

RU58841
- (As i said DHT is essential during puberty and its a great looksmin to block DHT during development, however there is a way to stop DHT from raping
your hair follicles)

- Ru-58841 is a topical anti-androgen which competes with DHT at the hair follicle to stop DHT from binding to your follicles and raping it
- This is an effective treatment if you are too young to take DHT blockers

Dosing
50-100mgs daily

side effects
- Mild scalp irritation
- Systemic Side Effects (uncommon but definitely possible)
- Unknown / Long-Term Effects
- Your good unless ts gets absorbed systemically

2. for adults who are experiencing hairloss
in this time in life DHT dosent do anything positive really and only negatives

and you should fix hairloss with dutasteride and minoxidil

"but dooood dutasteride makes your dick not work and infertile"

- most side effects are really rare (4-6% of users who MEGADOSED got libido issues)
- the mental sides come from low testosterone
- and if you get side effects they are reversible

"but doood DHT blockers makes you a girl"
- the trannys who took DHT blockers also blocked testosterone
- you are just coping stfu

so lets get to how to stop hair loss

Dutasteride

- dutasteride inhibits both Type 1 and Type 2 dht, making it a more complete DHT suppressor than finasteride
- It has been shown in clinical trials to reduce serum DHT levels by 90-95% PubMed:https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17189955/

- Side effects

- Decreased libido (if you already have low test)
- Erectile dysfunction (if you already have low test)
- Reduced ejaculatory volume (if you already have low test)
- Mood changes / depression / brain fog (rare) (if you already have low test)
- Gynecomastia (rare but more common than finasteride) (if you already have low test and high estrogen)
- Fatigue (rare) (if you already have low test)

dosing

- Start at .5mg and work your way up to 2.5 mg if tolerated
- Why 2.5 mg? 2.5 mg dutasteride has been shown in studies to be superior to .5mg (no shit taking more leads to stronger dht suppression

minoxidil (can be also used in puberty)

- there are 2 types of minoxidil oral and topical
- does it matter? kinda

- oral minox can give unnecessary or excessive body hair growth
- very high systemic absorption, can't be localized and focused on main balding spots
- Oral minoxidil was initially created to treat high blood pressure, by vasodilating blood vessels it can cause your
- blood pressure to drop sharply. This will cause a bunch of side effects such as dizziness, elevated heart rate, heart palpitations etc

topical minox can give
- skin irritation in some people but it is rare
- time consuming
- can be annoying due to daily application

dosing

- for topical minox apply it twice a day
- for oral minox 2.5mgs can be fine

TLDR: for teens dont shutdown DHT and use anti androgens at hair
and for oldcels use DHT blockers and if you get sides start roiding
