Depending on the width and how short your gonial angle is or how affected you are by jaw asymmetry the required treatment would depend on the underlying cause. A wide gonial angle can be reshaped with mandibular angle reduction. While a small/narrow gonial angle may require angle augmentation. Or you could even consider jaw rotation. If your issue stems from overall jaw position, orthognathic surgery such as a vertical ramus osteotomy or BSSO can correct your jaw alignment and improve your gonial angle. Obviously, speak to a maxillofacial specialist/surgeon for professional advice.
