This post is not meant to strike panic. Approach with calm mind

if you’ve been feeling weird and can’t figure out why, you might wanna get your thyroid checked for hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone production). I suspect there is an epidemic of hypothyroidism in young males currently ongoing, and issue lies somewhere in the past 20-30 years, possibly linked to stress, diabetes, xenoestrogens, microplastics, heavy metals, etc, etc, etc. Every zoomer puffed on vape, imagine how much heavy metal from that chinese disposable vape was inhaled. some metals are able to bind to thyroid, thus damaging receptors. But from my research, the #1 cause is chronic stress.

Having hypothyrodism as a young male = death, incel tier shell of a man. Stunted growth during puberty, young looking puffy face guaranteed.

Read symptoms below to check

1 - Always super sleepy. You can sleep for 8-10 hours, and still wake up tired. You might take few naps around the day.
2 - Easy weight gain
3 - Muscle hurt all the time, and a lot after moderate to heavy exercise. General muscle weakness, can often be noticed the most during mornings.
4 - Always very cold, especially in the mornings. Quick check is to measure your temperature as soon as you wake up. If it's low, that's a risk factor for sure
5 - Can’t focus or think clearly, brain fog, sluggish thoughts
6 - Depression, low mood, anxiety
7 - Hair thinning or eyebrows disappearing
8 - Low sex drive, possibly weaker erections (not biologically induced, but rather psychological).
9 - Constipated a lot
10 - Skin is very dry, especially on palms
11 - Random joint pain
12 - Puffy face with fluid retention, tired dull look
13 - Muscle cramps out of nowhere
14 - Nails breaking easily

But ultimately, don't stress too much. Hypothyroidism is infamously known by doctors as one of the most common factitious disorders, and its symptoms are super similar to regular depression, or something else entirely. Only way to know is to do a test, it's like 30 bucks on Quest I think.

Good luck and hopefully this helps someone

The medication is T4, nothing stops you from going to buy it, but just know that many guys have fucked up their hormonal system permanently by self medicating. Thyroid hormones IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANNA MESS WITH, very sensitive!

There is also hyperthyroidism, but that's more rare tbh, and is exactly the opposite.

I think me taking furosemide on my blood test day made the thyroid result come out inaccurate I think I’m gonna take another one ngl

Good thread, so many people are hyper/hypothyroid and don't realize it, and it is so detrimental that simply fixing your thyroid eliminates most chronic illnesses and metabolic issues.

One of the simplest ways to check thyroidism is to measure your waking temperature. The optimal waking temperature is 98.6 F.

Not hypo tbh. Cialis is safe, and increases test-to-estrogen ratio. Effects wise, 30% testesterone increase, but mostly via making your hormonal panel more male hormone oriented. Works by increasing bloodflow into balls, I would take 2.5mg (but no more than 5) per 32-48 hours. Every guy should take it tbh, only downside is that your dick is often hard af

Furosemide might cause thyroid issues, I don't know whether long-term or not. But it won't cause issues on its own, unless you are already predisposed.

No. Don't even take vitamins, unless its flinstones gummies or smth - you can only do more harm than good by touching anything that has to do with supplements, pills, stacks, etc. nobody here is as wise as our endocrine system, and you can't trick it. For you, being in the mindset of a normal teen is of crucial importance. By being on this forum, it highlights your issues with self-image and other things, and like I said, stress is #1 factor for hypo.

do sports, eat good, sleep good, study good nigga. karma is real, and you won't get anything you don't deserve. this forum is full of metrosexual neurotic faggots

Not really, that wouldn't explain huge difference between men and women. Something about the uniqueness of the modern world we find ourselves in created a perfect mix for young males to begin having hypo, this was unheard of 20 years ago. but from what i see, stress is #1 contributor, and by that, I mean especially stressful, semi-long or long period of time, maybe 12-24 months of exposure to this specific kind of stress will fuck ou up really good

it's because you associate it with girls who are sheep by default probs. guys with hypothyrodism are ostracized from society, far from sheep but not much better either

Tried helping a friend with hypothyroidism in the past, didn't listen to my advice, and became a big pharma drug addict (anti dep, pregab, thyroid meds). Still a complete trainwreck 1 year later, and definitely isn't my friend anymore.

If he listened to my advice he'd be healthy today (not skinny fat with hair falling out, fragile nails, acne, weird ass eyebrows, weird skin tone etc). But because he was a brainwashed sheep, he'd rather listen to Jewish doctors... whom have only worsened his symptoms.

Cope. It’s 100% caused by the diet. Humans are obligate hyper carnivores. If you eat carbohydrates, you’re healthmin’ing yourself.

It's not advice that would benefit everyone, basically just found the causes of his disease and told him to cut it out.
Boyo was stuffing himself full with soy, kale, salads, bunch of carbs, with a complete disregard for animal foods.

His diet was most definitely the root cause of all his problems (also was giga anxious and overthinking).

And of course the big pharma "meds" only deteriorated him further, leading him into a big downward spiral, told him to stop drugs as well.

But as you mentioned, shit like vaping is also literal poison.

We are foragers by nature, we have highest ethanol tolerance in animal kingdom to eat sun-dried over riped fruits on the trees, with a lot of meat, but also a bunch of other random shit. This is also the most effective approach from logic, as you will get the absolute widest spectrum of nutrients and amino acids, showing themselves as different health benefits, kickstarting different healing processes in the body, and other things we are yet to even begin understanding

I think overthinking and anxiety contributed just as much, if not more. The pathway behind cortisol and thyroid shutting down is as clear as day in 2020-2024 studies, this is currently the most accepted scientific hypothesis for one of the more common ways of acquiring it (once again, only if you are already predisposed, which could be anyone with allergies, exposed to high or not enough iodine, radiation, diabetes, overweight, etc)

True. And overthinking + anxiety is caused by a shitty diet. Goes full circle.

Sad considering how goitrogens aren't too bad if you get enough selenium from meat and avoid soy seeds grain etc, but normies think plants = good

Absolutely false. The Randle Cycle disproves that we are omnivores.

Don't use electric thermometer. Hold it for about 5 minutes. If it's 34, it's a big sign of hypothyrodism - not guaranteed, but enough to check just in case!

My test results are in. I wrote this post after reading about hypothyroidism, and at the same time, went and gave a blood sample. Despite me having around 70-80% of the symptoms, my levels seem normal, so don’t take this list of symptoms as a sure way of figuring out if you have any issues with thyroid or not

Thyroid hormones can be messed with
Your gland goes back to its normal production after supplementation within a few days/weeks

spamming 300mcg t4 everyday before sleep since late 2023 and my health is greatly improved, my face became leaner too.
