You could be the most perfect shade of Blue, but it won't matter if her favourite colour is Red

The terms PSL and Appeal have been thrown around the .org community for long now, and it is quite disappointing to assume that people are using them interchangeably. But fear not boyos, I'm here to break down the differences and how they influence your Sexual Market Value (SMV). Expect to know the nits and the grits of the two, and how they are NOT the same.

Table of Contents:
1. What is PSL?
2. What is Appeal?
3. PSL vs Appeal
4. The Ultimatum
5. Summary and Takeaways
6. Conclusion
7. Bibliography

1. What Exactly is PSL?
PSL is a system used to objectively evaluate the perfection of somebody's face. The PSL Scale uses biological and mathematical markers to gauge ratios and proportions. The scale aims to show how your face aligns with geometric relationships. Unlike the Appeal Scale, PSL is objective, data-based, and rooted in biological and mathematical perceptions.

How does the scale work?

The PSL Scale is normally done by robots or programs, as they are more fluent in the ratios, and are less subjective than Humans. The scale gives a score after completing these steps:
1. Measure key facial features
Programs measure facial features with pixels or millimetres, depending on the method. These programs usually measure the eyes, nose, cheekbones, forehead, mouth, and overall face shape.
2. Calculate ratios
The measurements are then converted into ratios, relative to other surrounding facial features. Some examples could be: Eye width/face width, nose width/mouth width, jaw width/cheekbone width, etc. These ratios are then compared to theorised ranges based on previous studies on facial attractiveness.
3. Weighing of factors
Programs must also take into account that not all features contribute to Sexual Market Value (SMV) equally. Symmetry often carries a heavier weight than averageness for example.
4. Normalisation and Scoring
Each ratio is then given a 'sub-score' (e.g. 0-10). A perfect match to a ratio achieves the highest score, while deviations may reduce it proportionally, weighing of factors also takes a part in this step.
5. Final Score
All 'sub-scores' are averaged according to their weights to produce the final PSL score.

Example of the golden ratio in use in facial analysis:
Please Dispose

Facial Symmetry:
Please Dispose 2

Facial Ratio Chart:
Please dispose 3

Measurement of Face (to) Width (to) Height Ratio (fWHR):
Please disposee

TLDR; PSL is a scaling system that gauges ratios and proportions to produce a score of somebody's face.

2. What Exactly is Appeal?
While PSL measures objective facial structure, Appeal is more based on averageness and subjective preference. It is a reflection on real-world scenarios and sexual contexts. It also synergises from things beyond the geometrical puzzle fitting, such as personality, grooming, style, expressions, and fashion.

Facially, Appeal emphasises on how features harmonise dynamically, softness, and evolutionary cues that show if a person is healthy or not. Unlike PSL, Appeal
cannot be objectively gauged, rather, it relies on subconscious preferences and overall facial harmony.

How internal facial features are signals of personality and health:
Please dispose 4

Displays of averageness in a Caucasian face and a Japanese face:
Please Dispose NOW

TLDR; Normally, greys like me refer to Appeal as the Female Gaze, averageness, harmony, etc

3. PSL vs Appeal
Although I just gave you their definitions, it's still easy to mix them up, both of them deal with attractiveness. However they operate on entirely different principles. Understanding their uses and outcomes is pivotal for anyone serious about facial analysis.

Aspect PSL Appeal
Nature Objective, data-based Subjective, perception-based
Measured by Ratios, symmetry, proportions Subconscious preferences, perceived harmony, expression, health
Scope Purely facial geometry Facial dynamics, cues, softness, averageness
Consistency Repeatable, can be done with programs Varies by woman, culture, and context
Example Perfect Eye Width/Face Width? High PSL boost Slightly off Eye Width/Face Width with healthy skin? Slight deviations improve Appeal

Key Differences:
1. Objective vs Subjective
PSL measured how close a face is to an already idealised ratio. Every bone has a precise numerical weight. Appeal is about how humans perceive attractiveness, which compensates with subtle things that PSL would've otherwise disregarded.
2. Perfect PSL is NOT equal to High Appeal
In most cases, especially women, a person with perfect PSL would appear overly rigid, lifeless, uncharismatic, reducing perceived attraction. Ironically, a person with slight deviations in PSL usually score incredibly high in appeal, due to their natural expression, almost symmetrical symmetry, and feminine features.
3. Feature Harmony
PSL evaluates features relative to each other using fixed ratios, Appeal considers how features interact dynamically. Example: A slightly wider nose may suit the jawline better, increasing perceived attractiveness.
4. Use Cases
PSL is used for precise facial analyses, scientific study, or algorithmic ratings.
Appeal is more relevant to social interactions, dating perception, and general human attractiveness

TLDR; Bottomline, programs gauge PSL, Humans gauge Appeal. You fuck women not calculators and code.

4. The Ultimatum
It is important to acknowledge that high Appeal cannot come without high PSL, and in so, I would like to introduce probably the greyest thing you'll hear on this platform: The Ultimatum

There comes a time where someone is softmaxxing, and has only reached a point where they are only starting to uncover their potential. Atop this picket fence, a decision must be made; will you pursue Appeal or PSL?

Seems stupid, yeah, but the reality is that, although for the bottom stages of the rating system Appeal and PSL stick closely together. Changes in, well anything, contribute directly to facial attractiveness. But as one progresses along the rating system, they separate almost exponentially. This brings only one logical gate, for the rest of this journey, will you pursue Appeal or PSL?

1. Taking the PSL path, you'll most likely be greeted with exotic job opportunities, surgical interventions, peptides, and all the hardmaxx goodness. This path is perfection oriented.
2. Taking the Appeal path, you'll most likely be greeted with social acceptance, and possibly even social admiration. Skincare routines, haircuts, and all the soft feminine goodness. This path is improvement oriented.

This ultimatum is not about polarising the two, or saying which is 'better', it's more about knowing the point of divergence between bone and skin, math and soul, objective and subjective. High PSL does not guarantee Appeal, and high Appeal without a solid PSL base is unlikely. Recognising this is a key to mastering what you want to look like in the future.

TLDR; Appeal and PSL diverge at higher ratings, two paths, PSL and Appeal, choose one.

5. Summary and Takeaways
In summary:
1. PSL is the Mathematics of the Face
Objective, data-based, ratios and proportions
2. Appeal is the Art of the Face
Subjective, harmony, softness, averageness
3. Relationship
High Appeal is extremely unlikely without a solid PSL base, but the two separate as they go up the scale
4. The Ultimatum
The critical moment where you decide to either work on hardmaxx ratios or softmaxx perception.

TLDR; My brother this is the TLDR

6. Conclusion

Understanding the difference of PSL and Appeal and how they intertwine is about analysing the difference between the stage and the show. PSL gives you the objective foundation, the measurable ratios, and the symmetry. Appeal gives you the dynamic, living layer that determines how other truly perceive you.

The two are connected, but come apart as they progress. Knowing this allows you to work on flaws and where to concentrate your efforts.

At the end of the day, the mastery of facial attractiveness is about understanding the mathematics, appreciating the art, and choosing your path wisely.

dnrd but this is bs, what people mean by appeal is someone who is high psl but has slightly more androgynous features (like hernan drago vs chico)

Your dumb quite litrully because most female eroticas still dont look that androgynouse , its like one feature snad thats probably clear skin . You havent made one on sex appeal, tbh this is proly cope bcz ur a feminine guy and u mfs are feminists who think being feminine is , (ALSO FACIAL DIMO IS PROVEN BY SCIENCE TO ATTRACTIVE IF BALANCED WITH AVERAGNESS AND IS MODERATE/NORMAL LOOKING) superior , by that logic chico would mog leon kennedy.

mb bro im sorry for being too rough , we can work together on how to measure appeal if you want , bcz i also hate the emphasis on sharp features. Infact im making my own scale on it.

appeal is subjective beauty, psl is objective beauty
