Big Ears for narrow face

My theory is that if you have a really narrow long face, prominent ears can make it look wider from the front.

However they have to be masculine looking, like cauliflower ears.

This guy doesnt have a narrow skulls, but those kind of ears I'm talking about. Rough, unaesthetic ones.

that only widens the maxilla though. And the width at eye level is already comically narrow for me. So widening the jaws would be detrimental, right?

To some degree it's true imo. Ears very close to head are a looksmin for narrow faces. Still better than prominent ones though.
