The female graduates don't struggle, usually. Therein lies a huge source of resentment. You can accept lower paying work if you don't think you're good enough for anything better. Plenty of boys who were shit at school do so. But when you see your inferiors being handed better jobs than you en masse while you get shafted, you don't want to lower your standards, you simply don't want to be part of that system at all anymore.
