the good outweighs the bad, maybe very little but it also widens your lips to the point where your nose to lips ratio will stay the same, ive had a palattal expander and it improved my overall so much

btw, if you really want a palate expander you should get it now, because the older you get the higher the chance your suture is closed, for example when i got it at 14.5 years old i was like two or three months away from having the suture closed and needing surgery to use a palate expander but i got lucky

your orthodontist probably wont give it to you unless you larp about breathing problems
