I feel like the biggest issue is that most users have attention span problems. Either you make your posts really short or you have to fill them with bright colors and gradient titles to catch the attention. The only long posts that people read are those made by users who have very flashy profiles, with cool pfps and vip upgrades, who also tag their friends in all their posts to create an echo chamber that bumps their posts to the top of the page. Even then your posts need to be very flashy in their presentation. It seems people care a lot more about form and structure rather than content, which is quite ironic for a blackpill forum. Most replies to threads are also very shallow and are either very positive words of affirmation(mirin, high iq...) or straight insults (dnr,faggot...). There is no in between and even worse there a very few constructive comments even under very well written and thoughtful posts.

It's not a coincidence that all the people that replied under this thread have joined not even a year ago. Probably came from tiktok which explains the attention span problem and the inability to control emotional reactions.

I learned about the forum from its connection with mewing and a youtube channel called Qoves. I don't even care if someone joined yesterday or where they learned about looksmaxxing. I just read what people have to say and judge that.

I do believe in what I said about tiktok but I definitely would not have replied with that if the feedback from the post had been different.

Since I obviously got an idea of the cognitive level of the people that interacted from their replies, I decided to write that to trigger some emotional reaction in people like you.

And it ultimately worked

Well said, but I don't really understand why it's a bad thing to be drawn to form, That's naturally how humans all are.

No one wants to read a text-wall of "really good info" and most of the time they don't even need the info, people here just Hone on in main things like side effects, mechanism of action and the halos the compound/method gives. They don't want anything more.

Very based statement

How is that a bad statement ? As long as someone is able to back their claims with reasonable arguments I don't see why I would care about when he learned about the blackpill or whatever other bullshit

I wasn't trying to say you should disregard form when making a post. Obviously the best post would be one with good form and good content. But people here mostly care about the first. I've seen tons of posts with basic information but colorful text and icons getting tons of upvotes but never a not so well formatted text with a lot of nuance receiving similar treatment. I think content is much more important.

I also think in general it would be better to highlight and comment the content of a thread when writing a reply below it. That way you would incentivize people to put more effort into that which is ultimately what matters more for who's reading. But under most threads with a lot of upvotes most comments are "looks good, will read later" or things like that. You hardly see someone commenting on the content

Many users haven’t even graduated high school yet so that’s probably a big cause right there
