Hey so i need some guidance from you all. Im gonna be having a A Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy (BSSO) for a Class III malocclusion. But i was wondering if i should try and ask for lefort 1 because im recessed anyone has any suggestions of what i should do or ask before i meet with the surgeon. I am lowkey worried if they push my jaw back how that will affect breathing.

You already have an underbite by how it looks, if you get BSSO you should get a lefort that is more advanced

yeah you need a lefort 1 your maxilla is recessed

I would think lefort would be the standard surgical option for a class 3 skull/bite, rather then a BSSO. Though could require both.

Depends on scan

Aesthetically speaking, Bsso setback should be fine. There may be the risk of redundant tissue tho (loose skin) but it should adapt anyway since you're young
