The movie relies on a total bait and switch. It throws an undeniable fact at you like how the daily grind drains you or that absolute equality is a myth just to get you nodding along. but once you're hooked, it expects you to believe that a violent meltdown somehow makes him superior to the system. It’s not deep it’s just a prehistoric temper tantrum because he doesn’t know how to actually navigate the machine

The irony is peak: people feel like hardcore rebels while consuming cheap catharsis on an app designed to keep them staring at a screen. realizing the world is a mess and actually dealing with it takes way more effort than just crashing the party. bill didn't beat the system. he's just a resentful dude who funded his whole setup with the money he saved living rent free with his parents at 23, only to rob a bank so he could live comfortably. he is exactly what he claims to hate.
