Bimatoprost for lashes

Can bimatoprost as eye drops help with growing lashes if I applied them to my lash line instead of using it like actual eyedrops cuz where I live I can get the drops for around 17$ whilst the lash serum like lattise is 120+$
And what’s the best way to use them and not completely dry ur under eye fat
