Now, I certainly don't think that bimax would give you a deeper voice, but would get a bimax, where both your jaws are advanced forward a decent amount result in some kind of change to your voice?

Whenever you attend lessons to enhance vocal quality, most exercises are usually never about focusing directly on the vocal folds, but rather about relaxing the jaws, tongue, and neck.

So, with that logic, would bimax, a procedure that drastically alters the jaws and mouth, improve vocal quality?

Good question. Voice chambers are bigger in those with more forward maxillas

Thanks. I figured it would make sense since it would change the acoustics inside your mouth. Might not give you a 40 hz voice, but it would probably cure any forms of a lisp or slurring of the tongue.

Indeed I was just thinking about how the MSE might affect the voice. Expanding the palate would significantly alter the geometry of the vocal tract which is the very reason we have distinct voices in the first place. I think expansion would lend a more pleasing character to the voice in general.
This would do nothing to achieve a deeper voice though

As for bimaxillary advancement... this could deepen the voice somewhat as the overall length of the vocal tract becomes longer lowering the fundamental frequency... this can be seen by singing a note then extending your lips out as much as you can, the note will become lower.

Right, I figured. There are definitely a lot of aspects to a voice that makes it pleasing to listen to beyond being "deep". Of course, no one is gonna do MSE just because it might change their voice, but any little bonus helps.

Yes you're right. I'm doing MSE soon so I will keep track of my voice before and after and post the results if there's any change.
My statement about fundamental frequency was wrong however, I was misremembering how vocal tract length affects the voice. It will not change the fundamental but it will make the voice sound warmer overall.

Please keep me updated, hope it turns out the way you want it.
