all I'm seeing from CT scans, bone ossifies and creates a smoother but thinner layer.


but, how the fuck does this gap fills itself, if it's more than 5mm? it's not like IMDO, gradually expanding it. it just creates a giant gap over there.

he uses powdered bone grafts for those parts :unsure: isn't a bone piece from rib can be useful to make it as thicker as before?

yeah but there is no way without using a method like IMDO, like LL. gradual expansion.
This might sound retarded but do they take the graft and apply it in the same surgery

no. after six months, waiting for natural healing, they apply powdered bone grafts.

Ok so they just leave the plates and then reinforce with the grafts

yeah. 6 months with braces, then they took the braces off and put the graft.
