bimaxillary surgery with CCW rotation almost always requires orthodontic treatment both before and after surgery but this is one continuous course of braces, not “twice” from scratch so pre surgical braces align the teeth for correct jaw positioning, and post surgical braces fine tune the bite. If surgery is done in Turkey, the key issue is coordination ur home orthodontist must plan and manage the braces in collaboration with the Turkish surgeon, otherwise the treatment cannot be properly completed

you get the braces from an orthodontist, and yes you can do local ortho with surgery abroad, but you need to arrange that there is communication between your ortho and surgeon

better consult with an ortho now, they can estimate how long you need to wear braces before surgery, it can range from a few months to several years

Yes, sometimes surgery first is possible but sooner or later you most likely will need braces

Ok I will get them i have an overbite qnd it makes my maxilla look less recessed if i put my 2 front teeth on top of each other my chin protrudes too much and my chin to philtrum ratio gets messed up and my face looks longer is there a way to keep the overbite with braces or what

The braces wont camouflage the overbite so it will likely remain until the surgery

O
The braces wont camouflage the overbite so it will likely remain until the surgeryok thank you that was my biggest fear that it would force my 2 front teeth on top of each other
