it'll fix TMJ. my TMJ temporarily went away for the first time in like 7 years after i slept with a SnoreRX (mouthpiece that brings the mandible forward, which is what bimax does). im getting bimax very soon and im eager to fix a lot of issues, mainly sleep apnea and airway issues as well as TMJ and postural issues

Bimax does something completely different, it elongates the jaw bone. snoreRX displaces the lower jaw to move it forward which makes the "head" (caput mandibulae) of the joint come out of the "pan" (fossa mandibulae) of the joint. You can not compare the 2.

huh, got it, so i shouldnt expect my TMJ to be fixed when i get bimax? also how does it fix sleep apnea if the mandible is not being displaced?

I am not knowledgeable enough to tell you what you can expect from bimax in terms of tmj but I still know it can fix it, depending on case I assume. Talk to your omfs and orthodontist.

About sleep apnea: bimax (especially w CCW rotation) creates more space in the mouth for the tongue and muscles in that area. When these muscles are no longer being constricted in tight space, the airway opens up automatically. Just think of the tongue obstructing the airway and being moves away. If you look up the tongue it is much bigger than what you see when you look in the mirror + there are other muscles there as well.

study show people who underwent jaw surgery have a slightly increased chance of developing tmj

but what is bc of the surgery or is the need for surgery and tmj only correlating with each other ?

i don’t care nigga. Pain of being ugly is worse

yes. no more than 6 mm
Mind linking what you got?

It should theoretically fix it if you had it before but it can sometimes cause it if you never had it, also this one norwegian expert on tmj who is really good says surgery is "really unsuccessful" for it
