If you have any blatant orthodontic deformity, get a bimax.
There are levels to ascending; level one is just getting to a good base. You can never fully ascend without a good base.
If you're young and don't have any major responsibilities, just sacrifice a few months of pain and save up 20k for the surgery.
On an unrelated note, limb lengthening is a very underrated surgery; people have so much fear around it but it has 95% success rate, can be done with like 10k-15k. And recovery is only like 6 months before you're back to walking again. Most people on this forum have probably wasted years LDARing, when you could've already been a 6'3 chad. And the proportions issue is greatly exaggerated. I plan on getting this surgery in 2028, to go from 6ft to at least 6'3.
