Going in with low expectations.

I'll post results if it goes well and looks good, or looks like shit and get botched because everybody in here starved for surgerymaxxed results.

Hell I'll post it if I die in the operating table.

I'm going with a local surgeon. Plan is 10mm bsso + 5mm lefort + 4mm genio with vertical height as well. There's a slight CCW for the jaws apparently.

I really want Ramieri but damn man, dude is double what I'm paying and that's not considering travel and flight.

I guess the only thing you are missing by not going with Ramieri is:

1. Possibility to have some implants placed in same surgery.
2. Custom plates for jaw widening.

But if basic trimax is all you need then it should all be fine.

I take it with those movements you were Class 2 Division 1? Were you in braces?

He has no functional botches afaik. My surgeon had a case with a girl who had a kidney failure after surgery and she sued him for it.

Taking time off from college to work. I'm already 2 years behind my graduation schedule.

This shit is 20k CAD split 50/50 with the surgeon and orthodontist. I really wanted Ramieri but that would cost me roughly 35k which I can't afford.

Whatever the fuck happens, I just want to be done with it.

I guess kidney failure would be something to do with the anesthesia or other drugs? You might want to research that but probably too late now. I think it’s important to go into surgery as healthy as you possibly can, I’m focusing heavily on cardio this year.

Since we are both class 2 division 2, can I ask you for more details of your pre surgical orthodontic plan?

I am about 4 months into Ortho and he has placed blocks behind my front teeth so the molars don’t touch, which is supposed to make them erupt and eliminate the deep bite. Also general straightening and arch expansion.

I always wondered if the lower jaw was rotated independently of the upper jaw to correct deep bite during the Bimax but as far as I can tell this is never done and any CCW/CW movements are always the same for both jaws.

That's precisely what they did to me. They put bite blocks behind my front teeth while they brought my canine down. My right canine was overlapping the other teeth.

I always wondered if the lower jaw was rotated independently of the upper jaw to correct deep bite during the Bimax but as far as I can tell this is never done and any CCW/CW movements are always the same for both jaws.

To my understanding any rotation involves both jaws unless the teeth are in place to allow for one.

That's precisely what they did to me. They put bite blocks behind my front teeth while they brought my canine down. My right canine was overlapping the other teeth.

So I take it you still have the incorrect molar occlusion prior to surgery? I’ll just add a photo to explain more easily - correct class 1 occlusion would mean the lower jaw should move forward to align the back of the lower molar with the centreline of the upper molar (disregard the wisdom tooth, it’s gone).

Not only do they not align at the molars, but my midline is also off.

And my bad for typo I meant training your jaw for a year and you won’t be able to speak you know that right and the real chadifiying is getting fillers cause implants will degrade your bone most of the time

Yeah my movements are asymmetric. It's not the same mm for both sides. One side will move like 2 mm more or something.

The full plan wasn't talked about yet but it's asymmetric movement.
