I had bimax surgery + genioplasty (trimax) 3 months ago at 17yo
I got it performed by Dr. Dr. Kater, Frankfurt, Germany and it cost around 4k €
(rest got covered by insurance even tho they said i didn't have functional problems)

This was the day before the surgery:

1777824620378
1777824728247

As you can see a very convex profile with retrognathic jaws and a non existent chin

CT before vs after:

1777824809303
1777824814793
1777824828446

And these are pics 1 - 3 months post surgery:
(Still a bit swollen)

1777824879561
1777824897536

What do yall think?

Imo it's a great result for only 4k€ at 17 yo
Yes, there could have been more saggittal advancement but i think it's a solid ascend.

what about orthodontics?

Insurance covered the accomodations right?

Revisions, checkups?

yes, the surgery wasn't planned with orthodontics, i didn't have any decomp.
The planning didn't even take 1.5 months and it had no orthdontic treatment especially for the surgery, i had braces but they corrected my bite in a wrong way, the surgeon couldn't move the jaws that much because of the braces

yea looks like you have a class 1 bite before and after

yes correct
the braces made my occlusion perfect, but my mandibula was more recessed than my maxilla
the surgeon couldn't advance the mandibula further forward, he would have given me an underbite
still good result tho

yea I was about to say, if you didn't have a class 1 bite the ascension would've been greater

I was even gonna say I wonder how it would look like if you had an overbite or deep bite

I got a slight (but skeletal) deep bite and a trimax would go crazy. At 4k it would be a steal

Surprised you even got this covered by insurance

View attachment 5002182 View attachment 5002187

View attachment 5002190View attachment 5002192View attachment 5002195
