Alrr so i had a consultation wtih an orthodontist where i mentioned if i'm need of bimax "it was after we made a plan to get braces" she said no but recommended me one other orthodontist with experience, and one maxillofacial surgeon

Would it be worth it to go to the orthodontist first, maybe ask him to write me a refferal to the maxillofacial surgeon for him to take me more seriously?
what else should i ask him, because if thats alone i think It's kind of useless.

Why not just get a consult from an orthognatic surgeon

I'm 16, theres two main types of ways he does orthognathic surgery,
surgery first
and braces first "cca 2 years" and then surgery
and also to ask other questions

that orthodontist partners with the orthognathic surgereon i want to go to, but since I'm 16 I' dlike him to write me a professionally written refferal recommending me, so he takes me more seriosuly, and also so he tells me his thoughts about if i should do surgery first or braces first, since if I'm more suitable for surgery first, I'd need to wait like almost 2 more years for my bones to mature, but if i'm more suitable for braces first, we can start treatment now.

actually ur right tho ngl, he could give me a more professioanl opinion about which approach I should do first, but also withotu the refferal, idk if he would have enough time to hear my story enough to convince him, since I'm not exactly a functional case, I'm 16 and the main thing that bothers me is aesthetics, I've heard the surgeon is often irritated cuz of how much surgery he performs..
