I had Bimax 2 weeks ago in Berlin.

Still super swollen in mid-face, nose, cheeks and upper lip. Swelling is beginning to come down on jawline though.

Movements were:

- Lefort 1 8mm
- 6 degree CCW
- Approx. 13mm BSSO
- No genio

I attached images of 10-day post-op, 14 days post op (now), and ceph/profile before surgery

Show a normal profile after. Like a pre op on your third picture

I had a shave this morning and the swelling becomes alot more visible!

What surgeon
Tobias Ebker

He's considered one of the top experts in posterior downgraft in EU. Also not afraid to do large movements where justified.

great result man
Thanks man. I'm still hesitant to judge it, because things can change a lot. 2 weeks is apparently too soon to tell. Although TBH, I don't think it will get any worse

The upper lip swelling can make the chin/jaw look a little more recessed than it actually is... so we'll see, I guess. I'll update in a few weeks to see how things look at 1 month!

very good, 2weeks is nothing.
will only get better. You can only really judge at around 1-3 months depending on swelling

Having a consult with him next week, hopefully he won't reject me. Did he offer you a zygomatic osteotomy as well?

He said it was possible, but didn't try to upsell it.

In my case, after looking into the procedure, I wasn't willing to take the risk of increased feminization that can occur on some faces.

My basic understanding: While it may provide slight anterior projection, most of the movement at the soft tissue level appears to be lateral.

Given that my bizygomatic width is already relatively large compared to bigonial, I didn't want to worsen the ratio. My thinking was that, in my specific case, it might produce a heart-shaped face instead of a squarer/rectangular one.

That said, some people seem to be pleased with the results.

Low iq question but does he offer implants as well?

Update at 3 and 3.5 weeks post-op

Swelling continues to go down. Still quite swollen in the upper lip region and malars.

Still liquid/no chew diet, and probably no steak or meat for at least 2-4 months. That part of recovery is absolute bullshit.
