Surgery are more beneficial imo and for some reason its less looked down. Upon compared to surgery here jfl.(my country).

yes you are a candidate, don't listen to anyone in here. They think bimax is just to fix recession. This is not true at all. You have a similar case to me where your chin extends to far in comparison to your upper lip. imo you also have slight sfs. Im getting bimax and this is my case: Ct scans before and after advancements.

There is no hard and fast rule to it.
Generally, I think the people that stand to gain the most from bimax have significant clinical recession.
So I'm thinking around 5mm+ upper and lower jaw retrusion.
If the occlusal plane is poor, giving you have a gummy smile or poor tooth show, then surgery might also be a good idea.
