Bitcoin is ancient technology now. No programmability, all it accomplishes is value transfer. It's basically like a browser with only html and css, but no javascript yet. Cardano is the wae. Why not Ethereum? Ethereum is made by monkey devs that don't even dare to stake all of their Eth because they know their PoS system is broken. Satoshi nakamoto was an academic himself, therefore Cardano is the only logical succession to Bitcoin (and maybe Algorand, but Algo founder barely even has anything to do with the project anymore). Cardano is so good and decentralized as recently exemplified by a buggy transaction causing half of the nodes to restart, yet the network didnt crash/no reset was necessary because the remaining nodes were able to keep the network stable (Wink wink looking at you Luna, Solana, Ethereum)
