biting down with overbite make jaw less narrow?

I have a deep overbite so i never bite down cuz it looks like fucking shit and my lips seal like a downy, but i remeber on discord like fucken 4 years ago when i was 12 someone told me i should bite down cuz my jaw will end up narrow and i didn’t listen cuz i was dumb and retarded (rope fuel)
