Blackpill is a form of cope. That doesn't mean it's not true. Looks matter. The halo effect is real. But it is a coping mechanism for people with below average social skills.

I see extremely average and below average people all the time get laid. They aren't the highest status or richest people. They're just your regular NT frat-boy type of guy. They have at least 400 followers on Instagram and a Snapchat score of at least 150,000 (ballpark estimates). They have dozens of people's phone numbers, and talk to their peers regularly. They dress normally, and have decent grooming.

Focusing solely on the blackpill is a major cope for people who refuse to work on anything except looks, when in almost every case they just need some basic softmaxxing, and need to really work on being social/NT.

If you live in an Asian country where most men are 3PSL that would be about average for the average there. You should standardize according to the country you live in and the locality of the country. Social skills are important until you pass a certain level of appearance, a man who is 2PSL, but with excellent social skills will have at least 1% (at best) of being with an attractive woman. Someone who is 4PSL and within the average, his social skills and softmaxxing to maximize how he looks can influence quite a bit. But to give an example, someone who has very bad social skills but is 7PSL could get sex anyway without any problem, in the long run it would be harder to find a partner for someone like that and it's normal that many women go for normal looking but financially stable men. Still, the standards are getting higher every year due to the internet and in 10 years time today's average will be below average.

Someone who is 3PSL and has good skills would never be able to compete with someone who is 7PSL who says "sex" and all women would be behind him.

Certainly, changing social skills is more of a doable task than changing deep-set proportions in your face. As I said, just softmax and then focus on more important things. I'm not sure why people here think social skills are completely fixed. Maybe your level of extroversion is, but that's not the same thing.

I’ve spent years trying to improve my social skills and I’ve come to the disappointing conclusion that there’s only so much you can do. The reason I think it’s fairly fixed is because the way people see you is, aside from looks, mostly based off non verbal cues which are very difficult to change. Studies have found that this is just a fact of human communication. Only the most top notch actors seem to be able to adopt an actual new persona for different roles they play, and that’s their life’s work. They get to watch film of themselves all day and analyze and adjust. And even if you were good enough and motivated enough to do the same you’d just be going through your life playing the role of someone else which is exhausting and unenjoyable.

You can meet people and make friends, that much is in your control, but you can’t make people like you or respect you
