I think it's an interesting debate. But I don't think genetics is an important factor in these cases; their interests and societies are different enough for them to see each other as enemies. According to the Bible, the first murder was between brothers. The first great empire known to humanity subjugated and murdered people from the same places. No genetics for the human drive to conquer.
