Hey folks, I'd like to get my first hormone workup, mainly as a baseline and to rule out any obvious hormonal issues without spending money on unnecessary tests. My history includes severe acne, seborrheic dermatitis, some hair thinning/shedding, and persistent oily/skin barrier issues. I don't have any diagnosed endocrine disorder, but I've never had my androgen or estrogen levels checked. If you had to recommend the most cost-effective and clinically useful blood tests, which ones would you prioritise? For example: Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, SHBG, DHEA-S, Estradiol (E2), LH, FSH, Prolactin, DHT, Androstenedione, etc. Which tests are truly worth getting first, and which are usually unnecessary unless the initial results are abnormal? I'm looking for the highest-yield panel rather than an exhaustive or expensive one.
