Can't explain why but i would like to share my line.
My great grandfather had blue eyes his wife green, but my grandfather had brown. My father has brown my mother blue, i have hazel ( green and brown ).

There's multiple genes involved with determining someone's eye colour thus, it's not a classic recessive or dominant trait.
