Now, I don't really play Chess but this struck with me
He played about 110,000 Hours of Chess That is equal to about 13 years.. Imagine spending that much time on literally anything as your hobby my mind just can't process it

So ahead of his competition. Here's a graph of the top 10 rated Chess players during his prime. He eclipsed the best players in the world by a long shot, and made them look like children. He wasn't just a grandmaster, he was a literal God among his peers
