Bomb blast in Pakistan has killed a top government official along with police officers

In yet another brutal act of terrorism, a government official and four Pakistani police officers were killed in a targeted bombing carried out by Islamic State militants in northwestern Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.

Security sources, quoted by Amaq Agency, reported that Islamic State terrorists detonated a car bomb on Nawaji Road in Bagaur District, striking the vehicle of a Pakistani government official. The explosion completely destroyed the vehicle, killing all five occupants and leaving no survivors.

The victims included the Assistant Commissioner of the Nawaji area and four police officers assigned to his security detail. The deliberate targeting of civil servants and security personnel underscores the group's continued campaign of violence and destabilization in the region.

This attack is part of a disturbing pattern in Bagaur Province, where Islamic State terrorists have repeatedly carried out cowardly and calculated operations against government officials, police, political activists, and members of democratic parties. Such actions are widely condemned as flagrant violations of national sovereignty and public safety, aiming only to spread fear and undermine the rule of law.
