Three members of Pakistan's border security forces were killed Monday, November 24, in a suicide attack against their headquarters in Peshawar, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan , police told AFP on Monday.

At 08:10 local time", three people carried out a suicide attack against "the border police headquarters (...) killing three members of the security forces who were guarding the entrance and wounding four others", Mian Saeed, Peshawar police chief, told AFP.

He added that two assailants had managed to enter the premises before being "quickly neutralized

An AFP journalist present at the scene of the attack saw the bodies of the suspected attackers, bloodstains on the road and the headquarters door riddled with bullets.

"The attack is over and a cleanup operation is underway to ensure that no unexploded ordnance remains," Peshawar police inspector general Zulfiqar Hameed told AFP.

The perpetrators of this attack, which has not yet been claimed, "will be found and punished," Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday , reiterating his commitment "to eradicate terrorism."

I doubt that the Taliban is really behind it tbh, seems highly unlikely the new fledgling state would go through so much effort and risk to kill 3 nobody Pakistani soldiers

Pakistan is an failed state, likely done by the ISI as an excuse to encroach on the Talibans land.

You could say this about literally any country under $20,000 GDP per capita PPP
Disagree there are plenty of low income countries where life ain't bad. There's good education, decent opportunities and low crime rates. Failed state means 0 functioning institutions, 0 rule of law, 0 security, and 0 basic services not just how rich the average person is on paper.

Pakistan is more complex, because we have extremely rich areas and rarely any civil wars, compared to Africa which has similar GDP per capita. The issue is Pakistan shows itself as successful but yet it is an failed state.

I am saying his words are fruitless and empty

There are civil wars in Pakistan too but they don't get outside funding so they remain regional and contained. TTP, Balochistan, Pashtun movements etc
