Bone loss from tooth removal (see pic)

Might be interesting to some of you. Here is a picture of my CT scan, shows the bone loss from having a molar removed. Its worth noting that I haven't noticed any change in my appearance because of this, having said that, look after your teeth boys

Get it fixed before it gets late. Now resorption is only in the alveolar process but soon it'll probably be get into mandible

Does the same apply when it’s needed to remove the wisdom teeth?

Do you think something happens when a premolar is extracted? Cuz that happened to me this Jewish orthodontist stole my tooth for no reason

How do you think we can see bone loss with just the after-picture?

Also it's heavily debated whether extractions cause bone loss or not, I'd argue that it could in some cases.

I'd recommend getting dental implants after the surgery to prevent any potential bone loss.

You absolutely have changed in appearance if you lost a molar, get an implant asap, I also have lost one and noticed more cheekbone asymmetry/flatness on the side of my face with a missing bottom molar

I intend to get one, but it has not affected my appearance in the slightest

See left profile. makes the indent on the right very apparent to me, however as you say it may be case by case. Implant by the end of the year.

I really doubt that, literally a staple of the jaw and loss of it leads to bone loss/reduction of prominence, either you’re lying to yourself or didn’t lose a molar

ive seen some forum saying you might swell a bit but it whouldnt cause any bone loss thankfully
