Long story short, I had a severe reaction to a hydrocortisone injection. It caused all the side effects of cushing's like swollen face, adrenaline, muscle weakness, and worst bone loss. It changed the position of my teeth. I did DEXA scans of my spine and I lost a lot of bone density there in the first year, and then it increased by +25% over the next 2 years. However the bone loss in my face went on for much longer. The side effects are really weak now so it should be over soon, I just don't know if the bones in my face will recover and teeth return to their original position.

This is a good representation of bone loss in face caused by loss of bone density and what happened to me

I'm thinking when people have braces and don't wear a retainer, the teeth will move back to their original position. So that's why I'm thinking maybe it's possible for my teeth to move back when my facial bones start recovering without the need for braces.
